The weblog represents an exceptional and  revolutionary innovation in the way and the conception itself to communicate and to interact in Internet. It is a innovation in continuous evolution: it is not only as a "virtual" space in which you can tell tour own stories, confess your own thoughts,  share your own interests with the others. Even if it was born, nearly accidentally, with such purposes, today the weblog is used in the more different fields , and it answers to all the requirements: companies, societies of services, publishing agencies, cultural and scientific institutions and associations are discovering, and appreciating more and more, the usefullness and the extreme adaptability of this most powerful instrument; therefore, we assist to an increase of  "thematic" blogs, blogs of journalistic news, cultural deepening, revision and technical-scientific cunsalting, and so on; all this offers to the user/visitor the possibility commenting or of integrating the news, the note, the cunsulting: in one word feeling active part of a "community".
Considering all this, the intention of the UBLOG creator is to meet the Webmaster manifacturing an application rich of features, clear and flexible, both regarding the user interface, either regarding the administrative section, the real milestone of this application, precious for the easiness of installation, use and configuration.

The installation. The download is light (little more than 100kb); the asp pages, notwithstanding the appearing complexity, offer a clear code and rationally structured code, divided in sections of " includes" and commented (in the Italian and in the English version) in each minimum difficulty. This allows to modify the code, and to customize it, in the design and in the functions, following the requirements of the your own website (look is based on the CSS). Moreover in the package is included "setup tool" which allows to the users to contact directly the application creator.

The rationality and the cleverness of the structure clearly appears in the administrative section that you can reach - once completed the installation - from every page of Ublog, through "login". Once logging, the administrator reaches to a simply control panel.
Together with the edit/delete blogs option, there is the most important features that configuration option, directly online, without acting on the code (all the changes eventually made will be refreshed in real time [! ] by a click on the "update" button). The option presents:

1. (a) the heading of the web pages where the application will be installed; (b) the username, password and the email of the administrator; (c) the choice of an email when a new blog or comment will be inserted; (d) the choice of the number of blogs that will appear in each page;
2. the precious and innovative possibility to set an "anti-spam": if you set it, on the user machine a cookie will be released in order to avoid posting more than a comment;
3. the possibility to choose the type of the weblog: in the "open" mode, all the users will be able to insert new blogs; in the "closed" mode, only the administrator will be able to insert some.

Web interface. Browsing your Ublog, the user will visualize the previews of the last blogs stored in the archives; clicking on the "read more" button, the user will be able to consult the total text and eventually to comment it (when, obviously, such possibility has been allowed from the author).When user post a new blog, he/she can choose among different options in order to enrich his/her own contribution with images, links and "personalized" texts: beyond the most important text formatting options ( bold, italic,…) the user has the possibility to insert link, email addresses and  images; the images can be directly uploadated from your PC.

Remember that the user (not as the administrator) can only operate in "ubb code" mode, in order to avoid malicious code. Last but not least, the blogger can decide if other users can comment his/her own post. Therefore, visualized the preview of the message, the user will post it only by a click: all in a few seconds.

On the left side of the web interface there is a calendar, a sort of blogs archives and the administrator can put a search engine [ mods ] on it. The application is based both on ACCESS database or on MYSQL database.

Considering all this Ublog is much more than a "simple" weblog; thanks to its flexibility the most expertise Webmaster can, easily, modify it to use it as a NEWS archive, ARTICLES archive, etc.…
